The Formula

Percentage of a Number = (Percent / 100) x Value | Percent Change = [(New - Old) / Old] x 100

To find a percentage, the tool turns the percent into a decimal and multiplies it by your number. To find how much a number changed, it finds the difference and divides it by the old number.
