Formula

Percentage of a Number = (Percent / 100) x Value | Percent Change = [(New - Old) / Old] x 100

To find a percentage of a number, the tool divides the percent by 100 and multiplies it by the base value. To find a percentage change, it subtracts the old value from the new value, divides by the old value, and multiplies by 100.
